Dutchman's Point

We drove, as we often do, into the mountains in search of cabins. The day after the equinox brought rain and mist, and the mountaintops were completely shrouded in fog.

Driving down endless forest roads may be a strange pastime for some, but for me and TigerLily it is the best way to spend a Saturday. The rain dappled the windshield and the clouds we were driving through were so thick at times that we could barely see. Some days of exploring contain only endless forest views and the occasional wildlife spotting, but this day brought us a bounty of unexpected cabins and fire lookouts to explore. The perfect start to fall.
